    Civil Engineer and chemistry passionate, Adolphe WEBER founded the WEBER company in the heart of the French-German coalfields. The Turtle as company Philosophy and Logo : Protection and Safety, Slowly but Surely, Pacific and Long Life.
  • 1967

    First patent. Innovation is the keyword. Thanks to a strong R&D program, WEBER developed a full range of grouts and non-flammable foams for underground applications.
  • 1976

    With its patented MARIFLEX Foam, WEBER became the world leader and reference in producing fire-resistant foams with fast and high expansion ability without compromising strength.
  • 1990

    World Premiere. A mine fire successfully isolated from the surface at the French Marienau coal mine by the injection of MARIFLEX Foam. WEBER created a department for fighting mine fires.
  • 1993

    Frank WEBER succeeded his father and took over the management of the WEBER Group with the aim of introducing WEBER’s ground control technologies in other mining countries.
  • 2000

    A new generation of grouts (FENOFLEX) and foams (ROCSIL FOAM) was launched. Improved safety during and after implementation.
  • 2007

    Appointment of the new Group CEO Michel GOTHIER to manage and develop the international business.
